Los Angeles Clippers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Nov. 8th 2022

In search of 9th straight win, Cavs face-off with The Clippers

The Cavs pulled off an impressive 114-100 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday afternoon when Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points on the night and put a charge in Cleveland's enforcing second half.

Clippers star forward Kawhi Leonard missed his 8th consecutive game, with George doing all he can to carry the team. Over the last five games, George has averaged 32.3 points.

Los Angeles also was questionably without sharpshooter Luke Kennard (chest), and Reggie Jackson (questionable). Both players ended up playing with Reggie hitting the game winning free throws to put the Clippers over the Cavs.

The Clippers firing on all cylinders tonight were able to match the Cavs quick and young offensive firing along with a strong defensive presence leading to the late 4th Quarter.

All Clipper starters were in double digits in this teeth clenching battle in LA as the Clippers ended up down in a 112-99 deficit to the Cavs early in the 4th, though the Clippers woke up defensively to apply pressure onto the Zone offense of Cleveland to open more offensive failures. This led to a 21-6 run late in the 4th to allow the Clippers to return to the game ultimately taking the lead.

Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson both hit clutch free throws to keep the Clippers ahead pressuring the Cavs offense as no teams had fouls to give and no timeouts.

Clippers beat the Cavs 119-117 Monday Nov. 8th, 2022 setting them at 6-5 on the season.
